Ernest Chemists Ltd has donated 15 cartons of Nizoral anti-dandruff shampoo to the Kumasi Central Prisons Service at a short ceremony in Kumasi.

This was in response to appeals by the service to Ernest Chemists to support them with drugs to manage some of the major health conditions confronting the inmates, including skin related ailments.
Nizoral contains Ketoconazole, a clinically proven, powerful dandruff fighting ingredient, which is both effective for fighting dandruff and topical skin conditions.
Commenting on the donation, the Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager at Ernest Chemists, Mr. Clement Atagra, explained that the donation was one of many efforts made by the company to improve the health of society, especially the vulnerable.
He indicated that Ernest Chemists has over the years led major efforts, especially in the health sector through its Corporate Social Responsibility vehicle to impact lives across the country.
“As a leading pharmaceutical company, we have always supported worthy causes which is consistent with the values and ideals of our founder and CEO, Mr. Ernest Bediako-Sampong whose philanthropic work has defined his life,” he added.

The donation was received on behalf of the service by Mr. Ennin Kwaku Rashid, Assistant Superintendent of Prisons at the Kumasi Central Prisons Service. He expressed gratitude to Ernest Chemists for coming to their aid and appealed to other companies to take a cue from that to also extend a hand of support to the service.
